How-To: Toyota FJ Cruiser

These are some tips and tricks that I have picked up along the way. Some of them are simple and some are more challenging. Some require patience and some require cursing, cursing, and more cursing followed by a cold beer.

Removing Front Door Panel

All of the FJ interior panels are fairly simple to remove. If it feels like you are about to break it, you're probably doing it correct...unless it breaks.

Removing Rear Door Panel

The rear door panel is the quickest one to remove out of them all. Your cold beer should still be cold from start to finish on this one

Removing Center Console

All of the FJ interior panels are fairly simple to remove. If it feels like you are about to break it, you're probably doing it correct...unless it breaks.

Removing Center Switch Panel

This one requires a little more work and time to completely remove. Might want to have a second or maybe even a third beer ready.

Disassembly of Side Mirror Lights

Changing the side mirror light bulb is pretty simple, but does require some finesse. Once you pull the mirror off, it is right there.

Disassembly of Steering Wheel

Taking apart the steering wheel isn't as challenging as one might think, myself included. You can have those silver pieces off in no time!

Removing Cabin Air Filter

Changing the cabin air filter might be the most simple thing one can do, but usually gets over looked, which I am guilty of myself.

Disable DTRL

The biggest thing is to cover the connector with tape afterwards, which reminds me, I need to go cover mine. 

Link Armor

Armor is a great modification and can save money down the road., but can be challenging to put on sometimes without a lift. 

Mounting Tires

Mounting a tire...To easy, but it can be easier. This way allows you to drink a cold beer while doing it. You're welcome!

Removing Door Handles 

Removing the door handle is simple. So simple in fact, you can do it before you finish your beer. If only everything was that easy.

Removing Radio Faceplate

I'm not going to say this is the easiest thing, but it is very simple and quick to do. So easy, you're going to take it off just because its simple!
