How-To: Toyota FJ Cruiser


These are some tips and tricks that I have picked up along the way. Some of them are simple and some are more challenging. Some require patience and some require cursing, cursing, and more cursing followed by a cold beer.

Removing Front Door Panel

All of the FJ interior panels are fairly simple to remove. If it feels like you are about to break it, you're probably doing it correct...unless it breaks.

The rear door panel is the quickest one to remove out of them all. Your cold beer should still be cold from start to finish on this one

Changing the side mirror light bulb is pretty simple, but does require some finesse. Once you pull the mirror off, it is right there.

Taking apart the steering wheel isn't as challenging as one might think, myself included. You can have those silver pieces off in no time!

Changing the cabin air filter might be the most simple thing one can do, but usually gets over looked, which I am guilty of myself.

The biggest thing is to cover the connector with tape afterwards, which reminds me, I need to go cover mine.
