In October 2008, I visited Niagara Falls for the first time with my friend Stephen. He and I were on a large east coast road trip. We were both very excited to see the falls, especially that time of year (we were expecting snow). Although it was cold and damp, it did not snow.
After spending some time walking the trails on the United States side, we ventured over to the Canadian side to visit with our northern neighbors. Shortly after arriving there, the sunset and night fell, which provided a spectacular view of the falls lite up.

Second Trip
On August 8, 2015, I, along with my friend Co-Commander Kennedy visited Niagara Falls while on our Explore America East Coast Road Trip. Before arriving at the falls, we meet up with some friends who joined in on the adventure with us. This my second time here, but Kennedy's first time. Our schedule was kind of tight, so we did not have time to do a boat ride up to the falls, but we did cross over onto the Canadian side, which in my opinion is the better side to view from.

Third Trip
On April 20, 2017, I visited Niagara Falls while on the inaugural road trip in our John Cooper Works MINI. It was a cold, rainy day, but I still very much enjoyed myself.
The two times I was here before I did not have the opportunity to see the falls from the water. The first time was in late October of 2008, and the boat services were closed for the season. The second time was in August of 2017, and we did not have enough time in our schedule to do it.
This trip, however, I finally did! Like I said before, it was a cold, rainy day but I did not let that stop me from seeing the might falls up close. I crossed over into Canada and caught the Hornblower which took us right up to the falls. Due to the weather, most people on the boat stayed inside and looked out through the windows. I, on the other hand, threw on my complimentary poncho and stood on the bow. The poncho did a decent job protecting me from the rain, but once we approached the bottom of the falls, the wind and mist was too much, and I was drenched from head to toe, but it was worth it!
