Road trips are an amazing experience. It allows you to see so much more of the country than flying does. Down side though, is if you're doing it with someone else, stress from the trip can lead to arguments, food fights, and sudden outbursts of karate.
Luckily, Mr. Izaguirre and I travel well together and neither one of us know karate. This is the second road trip we have taken together. The first one was back in 2008 where we were on the road for about 20 days, hit 18 states and ventured into Canada.
Many years ago, Mr. Izaguirre and I earned the nicknames "Ponch" (Izaguirre) and "Bake" (me). How did we earn these nick names you ask? You see, Stephen is a short Mexican fellow with glorious hair and I am a tall, white goofy looking fellow with dirty blond hair.
Stephen and I just happened to be standing next to each other when someone said “Hey you two look like those cop guys from that old TV show CHiPs”. Of course he was referring to Officer Frank Poncherello and Officer Jon Baker. From there, “Ponch & Bake” was born.
Papa.Bravo.Fourteen stands for Ponch and Bake, Fourteen or Ponch.Bake.Fourteen. To see videos of our adventures from this road trip, click here: Road Trip Videos
