Removing or changing the cabin air filter only takes a few minutes to do and no tools are needed. The longest part of this job is driving to the dealership or auto part store to buy another filter. If you always smell dirt when your fan is on, there is a good chance your cabin filter is dirty.
1) Open the glove box and locate the retaining rod on the right.
2) unhook the rod from the glove box by pressing in on the clip
3) push in on both sides of the glove box just under the plastic wings
4) Once the glove box is free and hangs down, reach in and push in on both tabs and pull the filter out.
